HUB4Ts
Strategic Hub for the Workplace
of Tomorrow´s SMEs
HUB4Ts is a planned Innovation Alliance project. This website has served as an internal communication platform for project partners during the drafting phase. In the event of project approval, the site will be redesigned and re-launched to provide information about the established Strategic Hub for the Workplace of Tomorrow’s SMEs and its ongoing activities.
HUB4Ts: Shaping the Future of SMEs and Vocational Education in Europe
The HUB4Ts project addresses the pressing workforce and skills challenges faced by SMEs, vocational education institutions, and higher education providers across Europe. With 12 partners from seven countries, including business chambers, vocational schools, and universities, HUB4Ts is building a transnational innovation ecosystem to drive workplace transformation, digitalization, sustainability, and entrepreneurial skills development.
SMEs are struggling with skills shortages, low workforce training participation, and slow adaptation to digital and green transitions. Traditional vocational education often fails to meet SME workforce demands, while women, migrants, and older workers remain underrepresented in key industries. To address these challenges, HUB4Ts is establishing a permanent Strategic Hub that fosters innovation in workforce training, leadership development, and SME adaptation strategies, ensuring a sustainable and future-ready workforce.
HUB4Ts follows a structured, multi-phase methodology to ensure impact-driven, evidence-based implementation. The Strategic Hub for the Workplace of Tomorrow’s SMEs will expand to over 20 additional institutions from 11 countries, ensuring long-term sustainability and scalability.
At the outset, the consortium will conduct in-depth research to map workforce needs and future workplace demands, shaping both long-term strategic planning and immediate practical solutions. Training programs will be developed, piloted, evaluated, and refined, covering EQF levels 3–6, with a focus on:
✔ Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in vocational training
✔ AI applications for education and SMEs
✔ HR management and workforce transformation
✔ Dual bachelor modules bridging vocational and higher education
By integrating policy, education, and business-driven solutions, HUB4Ts will enhance SME resilience, foster workforce inclusion, and support a thriving, innovation-driven economy across Europe.
